"I believe that through MySpirulina we can help algae become a staple food of the future, creating a more sustainable world."

Ben is an enthusiastic biologist in Kiel, Germany. As part of the team at MySpirulina, he is helping to realize the vision of a more sustainable future by growing algae. As the food of the future, he sees algae as an opportunity to combat rapidly advancing climate change while growing healthy, protein-rich food. His personal interest in algae was sparked about four years ago when he began cultivating and eating fresh spirulina on his own windowsill. The ease of cultivation and high yield rate immediately excited him. In addition to his hobby of scuba diving, Ben's overall diet is healthy and balanced - perfect for spirulina with its high protein concentration and abundance of minerals.

“Mich begeistert die Chance, meine Leidenschaft für Technik und biologische Prozesse zu vereinen und dabei nachhaltige Lösungen zu entwickeln, die die Zukunft der Ernährung positiv beeinflussen.”

Jan is both a biology student at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel and a passionate hobby constructor. His interest in technology and biological processes led him to start realising his own electronics projects and building computers at a young age. At MySpirulina, he now uses his technical skills to develop innovative solutions for the spirulina farm's cultivation and processing methods. His aim is to combine sustainable technologies with his biological knowledge and thus make a contribution to sustainable nutrition in the future.
