We want to raise awareness of sustainable farming methods and demonstrate the potential of spirulina microalgae for a healthy and environmentally friendly diet . Together we are working towards a better future for us , for you , and for our planet.

The team

We are four friends with a common mission: to make the world more sustainable. With MySpirulina, we want to positively influence the nutrition of the future by making the impressive microalgae Spirulina accessible to everyone.

We are convinced that spirulina will play a key role in the nutrition of tomorrow – healthy, sustainable and easy to integrate into everyday life.

Our farm stands for:

Less space required: They fit on any windowsill and preserve valuable agricultural land.

Resource conservation: Thanks to a closed-loop system, water is efficiently reused – without waste. Our farms are designed so that they can be purchased once and, theoretically, used continuously without wear and tear. This not only minimizes resource consumption but also the CO₂ emissions that would otherwise be generated during production and transport.

Ben is a biologist interested in sustainable and healthy nutrition. He has been passionate about spirulina since his school days and has been cultivating it on his windowsill ever since. He is committed to a sustainable lifestyle and sees spirulina as a solution to combat advancing climate change while simultaneously growing healthy food.

"For me, MySpirulina is the perfect combination of creativity, innovation, and sustainability, and I want to bring that to more people."

Sara , who has a passion for creativity and innovative ideas, considers it her mission to make the superfood spirulina accessible to a wider public and to successfully market it. She has always been interested in sustainable nutrition and a conscious lifestyle. It's time for more people to discover the impressive benefits of spirulina – and with MySpirulina, she wants to promote this.

Jan is a biologist and passionate designer. At MySpirulina, he uses his technical skills to develop innovative solutions for the cultivation and processing of spirulina. His goal is to combine sustainable technologies with biological knowledge and contribute to the sustainable nutrition of the future.

"I'm motivated by combining technology and healthy nutrition and making spirulina easily accessible to everyone."

Yannic combines his passion for computer science and sustainability at MySpirulina. He is particularly motivated by the vision of making clean food and energy accessible to everyone. He is convinced that MySpirulina will transform the way we eat.
