Iced Spirulina Latte with Espresso
Espresso at the bottom, creamy oat drink on top, with fresh spirulina slowly swirling down into the glass. It looks like a little work of art and is ready in 5 minutes.
Sweet · 5 minutes · 1 large glass
Ingredients
- 1 double espresso (approx. 60 ml) or 80 ml strong cold coffee
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- 200 ml oat drink, well chilled
- 1 to 2 tsp freshly harvested spirulina
- a pinch of vanilla
- ice cubes
Preparation
- Prepare the espresso, stir in the maple syrup, and let it cool.
- Pour the espresso into a tall glass and fill with ice.
- Slowly pour 150 ml of the oat drink over the ice cubes so the espresso stays at the bottom.
- Stir the spirulina until smooth with the vanilla and the remaining 50 ml of oat drink.
- Finally, slowly pour the green mixture on top and watch as it flows into the glass. Stir before drinking.
Tip
The maple syrup makes the espresso denser, which is why it stays at the bottom. Pour slowly over the ice for the best-defined layers. The espresso should no longer be hot when you add the spirulina.
