THE INSTRUCTION
7 Steps to Your Finished Farm
Work through the steps in sequence, paying particular attention to the maximum fill level.
Fill with nutrient salt
Add 45 g of nutrient salt to the prepared growing jar.
Refill water
Fill with a maximum of 2.4 L lukewarm tap water and stir well once. The nutrient salt does not need to dissolve completely.
Add starter culture
Add the included MySpirulina starter culture with approximately 300 ml. The total volume in the jar should not exceed 2.7 L.
Hose & Cover
Place the hose on the connection in the middle of the lid. An airstone is no longer necessary. Carefully place the lid on – do not screw it on tight.
Place farm
Place the farm in a bright spot on a south, east or west-facing windowsill and align the solar panel towards the light. Protect the young crop from direct sun that is too strong during the first few days.
Turn on farm
Connect a standard USB-C cable and turn the Farm on. Five green signals confirm the cable connection; the indicator light will be red during charging. For consistent harvests, we recommend continuous cable operation.

SETUP
How to set up the Starter Kit correctly
IMPORTANT
Start safely. Fill correctly.
Fill with a maximum of 2.7 L in total and leave at least 3 cm space from the lid. The electronics must never come into contact with water.
Automatic Control
Light and air supply are automatically regulated by the farm at appropriate intervals.
The first 1–2 days
The LEDs may glow continuously at first. After that, the light will turn off automatically at night.

Frequent questions about the setup
The most important answers regarding water, nutrients, battery, cable and hose.
How much nutrient salt do I add to the glass?
For one batch, 45 g of nutrient salt is ideal. The most accurate way to measure it is with a kitchen scale. It is perfectly normal if the salt does not completely dissolve immediately when stirring.
How much water do I fill in?
Add 2.4 L of lukewarm tap water. Together with approximately 300 ml of starter culture, this will amount to a maximum of 2.7 L. Keep at least 3 cm distance from the lid so that the electronics do not come into contact with water.
What does 5 green blinks and 1 red light mean?
Five green lights mean the cable has been recognized. The indicator glows red during charging and turns off when the battery is full. If it glows red without a cable, the battery level is below 20%. If the Farm does not react at all, the battery may be deeply discharged and should be charged for about 12 hours.
Does the farm always have to be connected to the charging cable?
No. The farm also works with solar energy and a battery. In summer, this is often sufficient; in winter, it is usually not. For a reliable power supply for the grow light and consistent harvests, we recommend continuous operation via the USB-C cable.
Is a USB-C cable included?
No. For sustainability reasons, no additional cable is included. You can use any standard USB-C cable.
I'm missing the hose (Aquastein) – is something missing?
No. The Aquastone was only used in an older version of the farm. In the current farm, the hose is attached directly to the connection in the middle of the lid. Nothing is missing.
