No. Place your farm in a bright spot by the window. Avoid intense direct sunlight and high heat. The integrated grow light automatically supplements any missing light.
Fresh and dried spirulina cannot be compared one-to-one due to their different water content and processing. For daily use, we recommend approximately one teaspoon of fresh spirulina.
No. When harvesting, a portion of the culture remains in the farm and continues to grow. You only need a new starter culture if you want to completely restart the farm or if the existing culture is no longer active.
Leave the farm running. After some time, the culture enters a saturation phase and can continue for up to three months without harvesting.
Work with clean hands and sanitized utensils. Use only water, the starter culture, and the provided nutrient salt. The jar and harvesting aid should be thoroughly cleaned regularly.
Depending on light and temperature, the first harvest is usually possible after about 7 to 14 days. The crop is ready for harvest when it has turned a distinct dark green.
Store harvested spirulina in a clean, sealed container in the refrigerator. It will keep for approximately 7 to 10 days there; we recommend consuming it within 7 to 8 days.
